With today’s societal demands and busy schedules it’s important to not neglect one’s mental health. Working on healthy habits and setting loving goals is a step towards tackling your daily routine as your best self! You may be thinking, “where do I start?” and that’s great question. In Therapy the session is yours to confidently say what’s on your mind, so really express yourself because it only helps us to find that starting point for effective therapy. My goal is for you to set realistic goals and listen to you as you work towards them. Those goals are things that you come up with for yourself, because this is about you and for you. A step in the right direction is you leaving each session knowing that you are doing this to be the best you, for you and those you love. Please consider that while you may not notice your progress right away, consistency is important. When you’re your best self you can really tackle each day with confidence knowing you’re working towards better experiences, better relationships, better communication etc. You can do it.
Perhaps you already have a healthy lifestyle and you are looking to vent your frustrations or talk about a specific event that occurred; perhaps you want to learn new coping skills that can help you process what happened. After prayer, therapy is a wonderful place to start just that. If you are Christian and seeking to talk through your challenges with someone who shares Christian values and understands the importance of them, I can also do that. If you are not Christian and want to speak to someone who is willing to listen and truly hear you, I can also do that.
I care.
My passion is helping others and sometimes that means having those difficult but beneficial conversations. I love working with couples, elders, and young adults.
I am currently studying as a Graduate student of Clinical Psychology: Marriage and Family Therapy at Azusa Pacific University in San Diego.
"Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God"
- 2 Corinthians 1:3-4KJV
